About Pétanque

Pétanque in its current form started in around 1910 in La Ciotat, Provence, France.

How it's played

Teams score points by      positioning their boules closest to jack, or cochonnet while standing inside the circle with both feet on the ground. The first team to score 13 points wins the game.
