Introduction

Mumbles Pétanque Club began in 2024 when a group of friends gathered for casual Saturday morning games of pétanque (also known as boules). Word quickly spread, interest grew, and before long, our friendly matches became a regular event.

Over the next year, our numbers had steadily increased—by early 2025, we had over 40 unofficial members, with up to 16 players joining each       session. 

The excitement was undeniable, and in March 2025, we took the next step: forming a committee and officially affiliating with the Welsh Pétanque Association.

We have since participated in local friendly competitions.

Today, we’re proud to be an established club, welcoming players of all levels to share in the fun, camaraderie, and friendly competition that define pétanque!

We welcome players of all ages and abilities to come and join us for a game and see if Pétanque is for you.
